TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR starlets, Kyle Walker-Peters and Josh Onomah, will be heading to the FIFA Under-20 World Cup Final after England came from behind to overcome a strong Italian side in a dramatic semi-final in Jeonju, South Korea.
Walker-Peters featured throughout the victory over the Italians, while Onomah will be available for Sunday’s showpiece final with Venezuela after missing the last-four clash due to suspension.
This was the first time that an England side has reached a World Cup Final since the senior side won through on home soil in 1966. Nevertheless, early signs didn’t look good when Juventus man, Riccardo Orsolini, gave Italy the lead.
However, a brace from Liverpool’s Dominic Solanke, recently recruited from Chelsea, along with an Ademola Lookman strike ensured it was the Young Lion’s who progressed.
Responding to the achievement on Twitter, Walker-Peters said: “Words cannot describe the way I feel right now! We are into the WORLD CUP FINAL!”
